Reviews about Berco Redwood Inc

First off my initial experience was great. The customer service was friendly and they helped me design my pergola project. They even delivered my order for free. Now I will say that some of the wood that was delivered was a little sub-standard, but one phone call to the store and Gabe had me all fixed up and new wood delivered in the same day. I myself have been in customer service for the last 15 years and its nice to finally see some places still care about taking care of their customers. Thanks again Gabe for great service and a great job fixing a bad order. I will definitely be back for my next projects needs.

Used to be a go-to, lately finding better lumber at Home Depot. Yes, I mean better quality lumber for a better cost. During the peak fence building season there was a major redwood shortage, my crew was at Lowe's to try to find whatever they could. They spot a pallet of boards and ask about it, are told "this is actually going right on the truck over to Berco." That means they were reselling Lowe's lumber at a higher price just to fulfill orders. Did they mention this? Nope. I've had 3 jobs in the past month where we've seen higher than 10% fenceboards not meeting premium specs. That's eating my time and my money and frankly not so great for my company's reputation. I've been building in Sacramento for the past decade and I've used Berco the whole time. These days, I generally suggest most people to check out Lowes or HD because the quality over there at Berco just isn't up to par. As for customer service, sure, it's nice to have a guy load your truck but if he's loading trash, what's the point?
